03/22/2010 ccj 2010006785 10-008826838 "Wolf House" next day is a typical morning; razor and shave, breakfast; peaut butter bun and give away mush. meds; motrin. then something different: medical. nurse cathy cuts off my 2 day bandage. she calls in the lead nurse and they decide i'm going to the hospital. i sit in the office awhile. the other inmates return to their cells. the depuity gets me a hot dog lunch. i eat it cos my appetite is through the roof. then deputy browning let's me sit in the waiting room. i think for once he's trying to be nice. it was hell. the tv's on full blast. i cant change the channel so i'm stuck with the Steve Wilko show about a 15 year old father abusing his 21 year old wife and kid. the sound echo's through the room block walls. i put my hands over my ears and sit with my back to it. next an hour of "Jerry Springer." i start pacing around and around. i guess i could have said something but i wanna stay on deputy brown's good side.
next, a female deputy comes in to take me to a holding cell. i tell her its way better than another hour of "Jerry." she goes, "really?" well, it is Andy's favorite show. she takes me to booking and gets me a holding cell. then im' in the "dead zone." not much goes on in a holding cell. the air conditioner is alway on so you're pacing 4 or 5 steps each way or pull your arms and head in your shirt to stay warm. i did remember eleven things about a ten by eight foot block room without windows to sharpen my observation skills: a cement slab that looks like a coffin to sit or lay down on; (2) handcuff holder iron 1/2 bars in a half circle imbeded into the side of the slab contributing to it's coffin look; (3) a blue phone with a three inch chord so you dont hang yourself; (4) a typical jail stainless steel toilet-sink with hot and cold running water and no soap; (5) a roll of toilet paper; (6) dirt skuff marks up an inch from the floor where shoes kick it; (7) two tone color paint design of off white walls and battle ship gray door and trim; (8) a metal door; no handle, a slot to slide through a foodtray and a plexi-glass window slot to look on on you; (9) an old sign backwards across window that reads, "attention, keep closed, contains female prisioner;" (10) hell of a chunk in the wall made by beating it with a food tray; (11) varrious inscriptions made in pencil and pen; "mill is a punk rock bitch," bp n 72," "$tac$," "i bet you fuk my cis," and several petroglyphs written over ten feet up, i couldnt read them so i'm figuring she was a very big girl. i resolve to making toilet paper art cos i didnt have anything to write my wall contribution with other than my thumbnail. beside, i know they'd catch me through my "brYdn" moniker. i symbolized my 12 bar piece with toilet paper squares for "I" chords, triangle paper squares for "IV" chords, and diamond shaped toilet paper for "V" chords. I used wet toilet paper balls to represent phi and negative phi and a wet toilet paper roll up for half way. then i meditated on the image. got two excellent parts.
